Internet Issues...I made it to the website...YES!

The following article was posted on www.theeclecticobserver.com on 10/07/10.

Finally "Figurin" it out...I think :)

The following articles were published in the Weekend edition of The Wetumpka Herald on 10/09/10.

1.) Figurin family reunited - This article was really fun to write, especially since I had to interview six people at one time. I wouldn't recommend interviewing an entire family in one sitting, one because it's confusing and two because it's confusing. Hah! The photo was also really fun to take. It was like getting to take family portraits. Also, I wrote this article a couple weeks ago and it finally ran in the paper! Whew! I was getting nervous! Hope you enjoy!

2.) APEC - This article was a last minute deal. I was about to leave work and I was sent to cover this story. It was touching getting to hear the father's story about turning his life around so he can see his children. Hope this touches your heart as much as it did mine.

Recognizing recognition :)

The following articles were published in The Eclectic Observer on 10/07/10.

1.) Mavis Abrams - I can't tell you how much I enjoyed covering this story. Mavis is one of the sweetest women I have ever met, and her story truly inspired me. She is a strong woman and was even more proof to me that God created this us for His glory. Thank you Mavis for showing me God's love, and exemplifying what it means to be a follower of Christ.

2.) Handball Tournament - This is just a cute little article about Eclectic Middle Schoo's P.E. program teaching kids how to play handball. Enjoy!

3.) Library - Just a short article about a few programs for children at the new public library in Eclectic.

Musings...and more articles

The following articles were published in the Weekend edition of The Wetumpka Herald on 10/02/10.

1.) Bookbug Club -

2.) Police Dept. Sign -

3.) The other two pieces I worked on for this issue were Central News and Sheriff's Reports. Now if you don't know about Central News...check out my bloopers...you'll figure it out. And well, Sheriff's Reports are just really funny. Humanity never ceases to amaze me...especially when people call the police when someone steals their satellite remote. Now that's just priceless.

Four articles in one issue :)

I've been pretty busy lately, so here are some articles that have been published over the past few weeks.

The next fours articles were published in the Weekend Edition of The Wetumpka Herald on 09/25/10.

1.) IvyCreek Home Medical - I really enjoyed covering this article. The ladies at IvyCreek were extremely welcoming and helpful. I was happy to promote their new CHAP certification.

2.)  Curves - This is just a cutline and photo. This was a fun piece as well. The ladies were sweet and even tried to get me to attend the gym. I didn't have the heart to tell them that I already attend a gym...well...when I can :)

3.) Bowen gives schools money - If you know me, you know that I love children. I've even thought about getting my teaching degree...even though my mother assures me that I won't like it because of all the rules teachers have to abide by. But nevertheless, I love being at school, especially elementary schools. When I went to cover this article, I was really excited because I got to take the picture at Wetumpka Elementary School. When I arrived I was overjoyed to find hallways filled with children's arts and drawings. I LOVE SCHOOL! All in all, this was an easy one. It's just a cutline and photo, but it still makes me smile.

4.) Thatcher Pinkston goes on his mission - So out of all the articles that were published in this paper...this one was the most difficult for me to write, not just because it is much more in depth, but because of the subject. Those who know me will know why, I hope. And if you don't, please feel free to ask me. I'd rather relay how I feel in person than on the Internet. All in all. This article was fun to write. I enjoyed interviewing Thatcher and wish him the best on his journey. I will be praying for him while he is away.
